CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara has claimed that the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has agreed to form the new government under CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Mahara said so during a press conference organised at Singha Durbar to announce the withdrawal of support to KP Sharma Oli-led government by CPN (Maoist Centre).
"The two parties have agreed to form the first round of government under CPN (Maoist Centre)and the NC for the second round for the implementation of the constitution," said Mahara.
Leader Mahara said that the agreement to form the next government will be made public by tomorrow.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) leader, during the press meet, said that Center Chairman Dahal and PM Oli held a meeting late Monday night regarding the formation of national unity government. However, the party decided to withdraw the support to the incumbent government as PM Oli was not in favour of national unity government, Mahara clarified.
