Dang, July 12: A woman on the run after killing her seven-year-old nephew with a sickle has been arrested.

Deepak Khatri of Bijauri – 2 was murdered in a brutal sickle attack on Friday evening inside his own residence.

His aunt, Gautami Khatri, 26, was arrested on Sunday night from Ghorahi, according to Dang District Police Chief, Dhiraj Pratap Singh.

A special team from District Police Office hunted down Khatri, who had gone into hiding following the shocking murder.

Khatri had attacked the boy in his head, neck and abdomen with the sickle when all the other family members were out in the field cultivating crops.
