Nepal’s seven-month-old government headed by Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli faces an imminent exit as a new alliance, that has emerged suddenly with clear majority in the House, has served it a quit notice.The meeting of the CPN-UML Parliamentary Party is taking place at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, on Thursday. Scheduled to begin at 3 pm, the meeting will discuss ways to discuss the no-confidence motion coming from the main opposition Nepali Congress and the CPN-Maoist Centre, the role of the UML in the Parliament and the latest political developments. The UML plans to brief its lawmakers about latest political developments and discuss ways to present the party’s viewpoints at the House meeting on Friday.
