Himalaya Airlines will start direct flight from Kathmandu to Sri Lankan capital Colombo from October 1.

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Himalaya Airlines informed that it will be operating Kathmandu-Colombo-Kathmandu flight three days a week.

According to General Manager of Arlines’ Marketing Department, Raju KC, the flights will be held on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The aircraft will leave Kathmandu at 11: 30 am and leave from Colombo at 4: 15 pm.

The airlines has fixed the cost to travel to Colombo in economy class at Rs 29,191, while the two-way ticket will cost Rs 50,041.

Likewise, the one-way price in business class is Rs 49,341, while the two-way ticket costs Rs 82,281. The airlines, which came into operation two years ago started flight to Doha about three and half months ago.

The Airlines’ vice president Bijay Shrestha said that they will start flights to Delhi, Yongnom, Damam, Beijing, Lhasa, Chengdu, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Dubai soon.
